Sumvaad Community Guidelines

Sumvaad is a community platform dedicated to Indian micro and small businesses. Our mission is to help you connect, share, learn, and grow your business in a safe, respectful, and legally compliant environment. To ensure this, all users must follow these Community Guidelines when engaging on Sumvaad’s features: Forum (read-only bulletin), Manthan (community discussions), and Bazaar (business product listings and networking).

 

By using SUMVAAD, you acknowledge and accept these rules. Any violation will result in appropriate action, including content removal, suspension, or legal reporting if required.

1. Respect & Professionalism

  • Treat every member with respect and courtesy.

  • Bullying, trolling, harassment, intimidation, or personal attacks of any kind are strictly prohibited.

  • Discrimination or hate speech based on religion, caste, gender, ethnicity, or background will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal and account suspension.

  • Sumvaad does not allow religious or political debates. This platform is solely for business-related discussions.

2. Business-Focused & Relevant Engagement

 

  • Keep all posts, comments, and discussions focused on micro and small business topics.

  • Forum is a read-only bulletin for official announcements and updates by Sumvaad admins only.

  • Manthan is for open business discussions — ask questions, share experiences, and learn.

  • Bazaar is a dedicated space to showcase and find products, network, and promote genuine business offers.

  • Avoid spam, misleading claims, or deceptive marketing practices.

3. Product Listings on Sumvaad Bazaar

 

3.1 Allowed Products

  • Only legal, genuine products relevant to your business category can be listed.

  • Products must comply with all applicable Indian laws and regulations.

3.2 Prohibited Products

  • Sexual wellness or activity-related products, including but not limited to adult toys, erotic literature, sexual health supplements, or similar items.

  • Illegal substances and narcotics.

  • Weapons, explosives, hazardous materials.

  • Counterfeit or pirated goods, or any product violating intellectual property rights.

  • Content promoting hate, violence, misinformation, or discrimination.

  • Any item banned under the Information Technology Act, E-commerce Rules 2020, Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, or other relevant laws.

  • Sharing of personal or confidential business data without consent.

4. Intellectual Property & Copyright Compliance

 

  • Post only content you own or have rights to share.

  • Intellectual property violations will be addressed upon legal notice.

  • Sumvaad complies with lawful takedown requests when provided with accurate legal requests.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Respect others' privacy. Do not share personal, business-sensitive, or confidential information without consent.

  • SUMVAAD does not sell, misuse, or unlawfully process user data but will comply with legal requests from authorities if required.

6. Reporting & Moderation

  • Users should report any content violations immediately.

  • Strict actions (content removal, suspension, or legal reporting) will be taken for violations.

  • SUMVAAD moderators hold the final authority in enforcing platform policies. Users must comply and engage respectfully with moderators.

7. User Accountability & Legal Compliance

  • Users are solely responsible for the content they post, share, or distribute on SUMVAAD.

  • SUMVAAD is a neutral platform and does not encourage any type of bias on engagement.

  • Users must comply with all Indian laws, including but not limited to:

    • Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000 (including IT Rules, 2021)

    • Indian Penal Code (IPC)

    • Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023

    • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Copyright Laws

  • SUMVAAD will cooperate with legal authorities if required.

8. Consequences for Violations

  • Violations of these guidelines may lead to:

    • Content removal

    • Temporary or permanent account suspension

    • Legal reporting to appropriate authorities

  • Repeat or severe offenses will escalate consequences accordingly.

9. Amendments & Compliance Updates

​

  • These guidelines may be updated to comply with legal and regulatory changes.

  • Users must review and accept any updates to continue using SUMVAAD.
