1. Purpose and Scope

 

Sumvaad is a digital information and knowledge platform for Indian businesses and MSMEs.

These Guidelines are established to:

  • Maintain lawful and professional use of the platform

  • Prevent misuse and unlawful activities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws

These Guidelines apply to:

  • All registered users and visitors

  • All content shared on Sumvaad, including:

    • Comments on blogs

    • Content submitted through platform features

    • Udhyam Suchi listings and related information

2. Professional & Respectful Conduct

 

Users must maintain professionalism in all interactions.

You agree that you will not:

  • Engage in harassment, abuse, threats, or intimidation

  • Post defamatory, obscene, or offensive content

  • Promote hate speech or discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, ethnicity, or background

  • Engage in personal attacks or hostile behaviour

Sumvaad does not permit content unrelated to business use, including religious or political debates.

3. Business Relevant Use

 

Sumvaad is strictly intended for business-related information and engagement.

Users must ensure that:

  • All content is relevant to business, entrepreneurship, or professional learning

  • Contributions are factual, constructive, and non-misleading

Spam, deceptive practices, and irrelevant promotions are strictly prohibited.

4. Content Standards and Restrictions

 

Users are solely responsible for the content they create, publish, or share.

4.1 Permitted Content

  • Lawful and accurate information

  • Content for which the user holds necessary rights

4.2 Prohibited Content

Users must not post or share:

  • Illegal goods, services, or activities

  • Narcotics, drugs, or controlled substances

  • Weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit or pirated goods

  • Sexual, pornographic, or adult-oriented content

  • Tobacco, alcohol, betting, or gambling-related content

  • Misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information

  • Content that violates any applicable Indian law

Additionally, any content prohibited under:

  • Information Technology Act, 2000 (including IT Rules, 2021)

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

  • Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
    is strictly disallowed.

5. Udhyam Suchi - Content Responsibility

 

Users creating Udhyam Suchi listings must ensure that:

  • All information provided is accurate, genuine, and legally valid

  • They have full rights to represent the business, products, or services listed

  • They do not impersonate any entity

  • They do not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including GSTIN)

  • They only list businesses and offerings that are legally permitted in India

Any violation may lead to removal of the listing and restriction of access to the platform.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

 

  • Users must only post content they own or are authorized to use

  • Unauthorized use of intellectual property is strictly prohibited

  • Sumvaad reserves the right to remove content upon receiving valid legal notice

Users are solely liable for any intellectual property violations arising from their content.

7. Privacy and DATA Protection

 

Users must respect privacy at all times.

You agree that you will not:

  • Share personal, confidential, or sensitive information without consent

  • Misuse any data obtained from the platform

Sumvaad may disclose user data if required by law or lawful authority.

8. User Accountability and Legal Compliance

 

Users are solely responsible for:

  • The legality, accuracy, and authenticity of their content

  • Compliance with all applicable laws

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Information Technology Act, 2000

  • Indian Penal Code

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

  • Intellectual Property laws

Sumvaad operates as an intermediary platform and does not verify or guarantee user-generated content.

9. Reporting and Moderation

 

Users are encouraged to report violations of these Guidelines.

Sumvaad reserves the absolute right to:

  • Review, moderate, or remove content

  • Suspend or restrict user access

  • Take action without prior notice

All decisions made by Sumvaad in this regard shall be final.

10. Enforcement and Consequences

 

Violation of these Guidelines may result in:

  • Content removal

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent account termination

  • Legal reporting to relevant authorities

Repeated or serious violations will lead to stricter actions.

11. Limitation of Liability

 

  • Sumvaad is a neutral platform and does not endorse or verify user-generated content

  • Users interact with content and other users at their own risk

  • Sumvaad shall not be held liable for:

    • Content accuracy

    • User actions

    • Business outcomes or disputes

Users agree to indemnify Sumvaad against any claims arising from their actions.

12. Amendments

 

Sumvaad reserves the right to update these Guidelines at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Guidelines.
