Most MSMEs sell online, but only a few crack marketplace visibility. Are ads worth the money, or does good content still win the game?
Hello, I run a B2C brand selling budget sportswear and accessories online, mostly through amazon. These days everyone talking about UGC (user generated content) like customer reels, unboxing videos, gym workouts etc. They say it builds trust and helps sales.
But for a marketplace business like mine, is it helpful? Few questions:
Anybody here tried UGC for fitness or sports products?
Did it really help in sales or just for brand awareness?
How to convince customers to make reels or reviews when they buy low ticket items?
For imitation jewellery, UGC is everything. Girls post styling videos and that brings direct buyers. But I feel sports products are little different.
I run a small D2C brand selling natural skincare products online. Most of our sales come from Instagram, word of mouth, and a few repeat buyers. Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of promotions around AI marketing tools — ad automation, AI-generated creatives, chatbots for customer queries, and even predictive insights on what products to push.
So my questions are:
Has anyone here used AI tools specifically for D2C marketing?
Do they actually improve sales, or are they just hype right now?
Which tools are affordable and easy to use for a small team?
Is it smarter to stick to proven basics like Instagram ads + influencer marketing until we’re bigger?
The AI generated videos/reels if done right has a higher chance of going viral. I got 16M views in 1 month from a new Instagram account. But the issue was that I had nothing to sell (working on an upcoming ecom D2C)

I have one doubt. Does Meta Verified also increase reach of posts? Like algorithm push? Or is it just about trust badge?
