Most MSMEs sell online, but only a few crack marketplace visibility. Are ads worth the money, or does good content still win the game?

RTO Issues due to Agents

Due to miscommunication between the buyer and delivery agent, the order was rejected. Is there a way to handle this situation.

When I spoke to the buyer, she told me she didn't rejected it and mentioned no delivery was attempted. So I decided to get in touch with the Delivery Agent, but delhivery didn't share his number?

How are you handling such RTOs?

De-Activate COD orders. Customers take full advantage of this payment method. Also settlement costs increase.

My Marketplace Business Journey

Building a business has been the most intense classroom of my life. It pushed me to unlearn shortcuts, question my assumptions, and discover what actually makes a business stand, survive, and grow.

Here are the big lessons my journey left me with:

  • Launching without deep research is like walking blind.

  • Ads can’t be the backbone of growth — strong products and organic credibility matter more.

  • Brand building isn’t fluff; it’s what builds trust and repeat business.

  • And above all, resilience, patience, and a long-term mindset are non-negotiable.

Has Anyone Tried Selling on ONDC Yet? Worth It?

I’ve been hearing a lot about ONDC becoming the new big thing.

Is it really helping small sellers or just another platform with rules? Would love to hear what early sellers think about the pros and cons.

@Gurvinder Singh I’m not into exports yet, but this makes me wonder — how does one figure out which product category is easy or legally viable to export to Europe from India? Any guidance ?

I want to sell online but don’t know where to begin. Should I choose Amazon or something else?

I have recently started making handmade home decor items. Everyone tells me to join Amazon or Flipkart, but I’m completely lost.

  1. What is the right approach to be taken?

  2. Are there better platforms than Amazon or is Instagram enough?

  3. Also can Sumvaad Bazaar help with anything?

Dear @Samriddhi , thanks for sharing your query. Starting with marketplaces like Amazon or Meesho is a good idea — especially for handmade items. These platforms have built-in customer traffic, but they’re also crowded and competitive.

Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook can help build trust, especially if you start with your personal network. Ask friends or family to place 2–3 trial orders and leave genuine reviews — that’ll help boost your visibility.

I’ve learned this the hard way after spending ₹5L on ads too early. Honestly, a steady organic approach works better when you’re just beginning.

That’s where Sumvaad Bazaar can help. It's not an order-based marketplace — instead, it’s a B2B networking space where serious business owners and resellers connect, promote products, and get leads. You can list your product here, get feedback from real business people, and build early trust before jumping into big platforms.

In short, start small, test smart, and build slow. You're already on the right path!
