Seeking Solid Chennai Human Hair Manufacturers

I’ll be traveling to Chennai this fall to connect with reliable human hair manufacturers and hopefully establish export partnerships.

I run a U.S.-based hair extension brand and am specifically looking for top-quality, unprocessed human hair. I understand that purchasing directly from temple auctions isn’t feasible, as those are handled by major brokers, so my focus will be on manufacturers.

If anyone has recommendations for trustworthy Chennai-based hair suppliers, I’d really appreciate it, as I’m not familiar with which companies are reliable or which ones to avoid.

Unsold Stock from Last Year

During last year Diwali, one of my suppliers convinced me to buy double stock, saying demand will explode. Reality: sales grew, but not as much as expected. Now a lot of stock from last year is still piling up space in my warehouse. Should I run a 50% off in this festive season? And are small retailers being exploited by suppliers during festivals?

@Neelesh Kansal Yes it is critical for you to push out existing stock. But if you frame it as a 50% OFF during peak festival season, then you can loose value in your existing products. And customers will expect you to extend the offer on your new product line.

What you can do is club it as a combo pack or a freebie in your new product line. This way you can retain the value of your new products and increase chances of clearing out old stock.

Survival often depends on one hard choice: How do you really win deals?

When you look at your business growth, which tactic helped you the most?

  • 0%Lower the price

  • 0%Relationships → Trust beats price every time

  • 0%Speed of Service → Deliver before anyone else

  • 0%Extra Value → Give more than promised

It is extremely tuff to get buyers agree for a prepaid order

Every week I get 2–3 buyers on WhatsApp. They ask for catalogue, prices, even samples. But once I ask for advance, they just stop replying. I know most of businesses like me who are just starting out be facing this? What is your suggestion?

@Nayanika Joshi this is a classic problem, businesses face in building stage. As businesses are new, customers take time to develop trust.

  • So, your focus should be on developing trust with your prospective clients.

  • Share what your recent customers have saying about their buying experience from you.

  • Share their feedback on social media handles.

  • And when you're talking to a prospective client, make them heard.

  • Don't be adamant to how you want to do business.
