Struggling cafe in Jaipur

My cousin opened a small cafe near a college in Jaipur. He thought students = guaranteed sales.

Turns out students wanted cheap stuff, margins too thin. He’s now struggling to even pay rent.

What’s more important for retail — location with heavy footfall, or location with right kind of buyers?

@Vartika Steps your friend can take before taking any considerable actions:

  1. Talk to customers, try to understand what are they not liking in the cafe

  2. Ask these customers, that if they still had to pay this much amount for a coffee, what would they prefer or expected in products as well as service.

  3. Try to see if your friend can apply them or not?

RTO Issues due to Agents

Due to miscommunication between the buyer and delivery agent, the order was rejected. Is there a way to handle this situation.

When I spoke to the buyer, she told me she didn't rejected it and mentioned no delivery was attempted. So I decided to get in touch with the Delivery Agent, but delhivery didn't share his number?

How are you handling such RTOs?

De-Activate COD orders. Customers take full advantage of this payment method. Also settlement costs increase.

Customer still not paying after 45 days. What to do?

I supplied goods worth 15 K to a shop in July, with credit time of 30 days. It is already 45 days, and I have only received 5K from him. This was my 3rd order in last 6 months with them.

What shall I do? I definitely don't want a repeat buyer in early days of my business.

What do you sell? You need to bring down your credit timeline to 15 days. I have not come across a 30 day timeline in retail trade.

Ask them the issue, if they agree to pay within next 7 days, let it be. Else you can be firm with them. You can also ask for part payments even if it is 1000.
